Halia Restaurant – Botanic Gardens
After we exchanged about at least 100 emails (Big Gasp), our very organized food enthusiast – Harris got us all together last Weekend for brunch at Halia.
I didn’t managed to talk to everybody but it was nice to put a face to the names and sites. But i’m sure there will be another chance.
My Choice of brunch – (SGD 16)
Poached Egg with Brioche with Dill Hollandaise, Roasted Brown Mushroom, Spinach & Tomato with Crisp back bacon.

I have never tasted Brioche before but it’s not too bad. Their dill Hollandaise wasn’t too sour which was good. Poached Eggs, Roasted Brown Mushroom and Crispy bacon never fails to delight me. Halia’s brunch version of Poached Eggs was decent. But I couldn’t agree on my cup of Mocha though. I didn’t really enjoy that.

I love the au-natural environment (We saw some squirrels – were they squirrels or?) of the place but it can get a bit hot outside. I would probably pick the indoors next time.
I was really hungry on Sunday so I took minimal photos. My fellow friends did a good job in theirs! Go take a look.

Nice meeting you reiz!
nice meeting you too reiz. hope to meet you again next time to know you better!
we had outdoors only because inside was too dim for any phototaking, but yeah, the air-conditioning there would have been most welcomed on such a humid morning…
see you for the next one!
Sure Sure! Yeah. It was good but the weather was crazy that morning! No worries about that
Their service was impeccable though! See ya soon!
Reiz, I love the soft tonality to your pics! It calms the sharpness of the food well.
Hope to see you at the next blogger’s outing =)
Thanks Justin!
Yes, those were squirrels! =)
See you soon! I’ll ask Harris to put us at the same table next time so we can talk haha.
Haha yeah. That’s probably one of the best part to have your meal at Halia! Nature, at its best! Yeah! Get harris to fix us up the next time!
Though we didnt’t get to talk, I’m sure there will be a next time soon! =)
I bet there will be more to come in 2010!
Nice meeting u… Hopefully will get to chat more on the next meet-up
